I wish the comments were not turned off of so many of this guys videos. I like watching his vids and talking about b.o.b. and camping stuff.

I just got my first mre’s and those things aren’t cheep man. I usually use the 1 or 2 serving mountain house freeze dry pouches.

sugestions, im no wizz on this tho here is my tought : fire reflector,hammock, wool sheet
i know those sleeping bag suck big time i have one with the tent i have gets even whorse :-/ also most of the cold comes from condensation of the air in the early hours (2-4 am ) also adding lots of leafs under your floor matt is good (nylon thingy ) but id never put it in the sleeping bag tho .

Being trained by the military I can appreciate his concern for ticks. However using a cover of leaves and a decent bed of leaves would have certainly made the night much more comfortable. Ticks can be treated but a cold night just sucks!

Ticks are a real problem here. Stuffing your bag with leaves can be asking for big trouble. I would rather take my chances with the cold.
