why use a tent that you have to pack poles for? tipis are simple and you can cut a pole at your site and then leave it. wyominglostandfound

Can I come along with you on a camping mission? I’d like you to show me close up where to slide my pole in. And I bet our tent would never get cold. We can stick it up together and I promise not to rip your fabric

I usually set up …
I usually set up the poles then stake out later to maintain tension. Although I’m not using a sleeved tent pole system.

You didn’t explain about the out the flysheet and guy ropes. Their crucial components of any standard dome tent.

with all do respect i think its a half dome cause the quarter dome is mostly mesh and the poles just clip in the top no sleaves.
